obtained a jury verdict of "no cause of action" for his ladder
manufacturer client in a product liability case tried in the
U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Michigan.

Kevin L. Moffatt was recently honored as the
outgoing President of the Association of Defense Trial Counsel
during its 2007 Annual Meeting at the Detroit Athletic Club in
Detroit,
Michigan. James N.
Martin and Michael R. Janes were also recognized for their
contributions as past presidents.
Kevin L. Moffatt recently appeared before the
Michigan Supreme Court and was successful in convincing the
Court to reverse the Court of Appeals and reinstate the trial
court’s award of summary disposition for defendant. The Supreme
Court ruled that “although an impairment that satisfies the
Kreiner standard need not be permanent or of any particular
duration, both “temporary” and “permanent” impairments must
satisfy this same standard.” The Order is reported at Nicke v
Miller, 477

908 (2006).
2007 - Inclusion in the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of
